Programs
The Educational Arts Team provides a wide range of workshops to meet the needs of elementary and middle school students and their teachers.
Below is a list of programs that we currently offer.
Please contact Carmine Tabone, if you would like to discuss how any of our programs can be adapted to meet the needs of your school or district.
TEACHER PROFESSIONAL
DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS
Since 1974, the Educational Arts Team has developed and conducted arts integrated lessons for teachers and students that address the Core Curriculum Content Standards in the Jersey City public schools. These lessons find the space where the New Jersey state standards in language and theater arts intersect.
Independent evaluators have reported progress in students' literacy and higher order thinking skills. Additionally, the overall social environment and student engagement has improved signficantly.
Please note that within the state of New Jersey, the Educational Arts Team is authorized to provide State of New Jersey Professional Development Certificates and credit hours for teachers participating in their professional development workshops.
STUDENT WORKSHOPS K-8
The Educational Arts Team provides a range of workshops to meet the needs of elementary and middle school students. Our programs use age-appropriate drama, writing, storytelling, puppetry, music, dance and visual art activities as strategies for promoting higher-order thinking and learning. This process encourages positive social experiences and promotes positive relationships.
