Who works at Camp Liberty?

We are proud to say that many of our senior staff members have been employed here for 15+ years. All counselors are over the age of 16 and must complete an intensive week-long series of training. Many of our counselors are Camp Liberty alumni themselves! Our camper-to-counselor ratio is under 10:1.

What activities can children choose at Camp Liberty?

We offer a wide range of activities for your child to choose from. Sports offered include basketball, softball, handball, and soccer. Children also have the opportunity to do arts & crafts, theater, music, dance, small group games, gardening, vaudeville, and puppetry.

What does a typical day at Camp Liberty look like?

Each day is divided into 4 periods, plus an hour for lunch. Different activities are offered for different age groups each period. Please see above for an extensive list of activities offered. Your child gets to choose their activity for each period.

My child doesn’t know how to swim. Can he/she still use the pool?

Our in-ground swimming pool ranges from 3-5 feet deep. The deep end is roped off from the shallower end. In order to swim in the deep end, campers must complete a swim test with one of the lifeguards. The swimming pool is always staffed with 2-3 lifeguards at all times. All lifeguards are certified, as well as trained in CPR and First Aid.

What should my child bring to camp each day?
